Notes:

The following items on the scale should be reverse-coded: 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, and 16. While answers provide a sense of overall positive or negative attitude, factor analysis revealed that responses tend to cluster into groupings and that respondents are liable to have positive attitudes in some groups and negative attitudes in others. Data provide scores from two samples in two waves: ATA test of northeastern Missouri residents and university students, and RATA test of northeastern Missouri residents and university students. Notes:

McKune was a doctoral student in Penn State’s sociology program. His life was shortened quite suddenly by a health condition. The database links individuals across multiple editions of directories. However, many errors remain. See Colyer, et al. (2017) for details.
